WALKING WITH PURPOSE

Jiyana & Associates Supports Rural Learners Through School Shoe Initiative (2024 -2025)

SCROLL

At Jiyana & Associates, we believe that meaningful corporate success is measured not only by professional excellence but by the positive impact we create in the communities we serve. During the 2024–2025 period, as part of our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) commitment, our firm supported the School Shoe Initiative through the Lindelani Umusa Foundation, which we actively support as part of our broader social responsibility efforts. The initiative focused on ensuring that learners in rural areas are able to attend school with dignity and confidence. Through this initiative, over 500 pairs of school shoes were distributed to learners across six rural schools, ensuring that children could attend school with  comfort, confidence, and a renewed sense of belonging. For many learners, these shoes represent far more than footwear — they are a step toward equality and uninterrupted education. What may seem like a small provision makes a meaningful difference in a child’s ability to attend school consistently, participate fully, and feel included among their peers.

As Jiyana & Associates, we were proud to contribute to this initiative, working alongside Aspen
Pharmacare and BM Foundation. Our involvement was guided by the belief that real change is often
created through practical interventions that meet immediate and tangible needs within communities.

Observing the impact of this initiative was a valuable experience for our team. It highlighted how addressing basic needs can positively influence a learner’s daily school experience and contribute to their long-term educational development.

As a firm, we remain committed to supporting the Lindelani Umusa Foundation and to engaging in CSI initiatives that extend beyond our core professional services and contribute meaningfully and sustainably to the communities we serve.
